The Quality System of Alfanar Electrical Systems is based on ISO9001:2000 quality management systems. AES believes in making quality an intrinsic part of its designs, processes and systems.

In order to keep its Quality Assurance staff abreast with the latest industry techniques, Alfanar Electrical Systems frequently orients them with up-to-date trends in the sphere of quality assurance. *Various products and processes trainings are regularly imparted to the employees of Alfanar Electrical Systems.

AES' Quality Assurance department makes elaborate quality plans on the bases of ISO9001and its Quality Control System, and implements them effectively.

In its immaculate laboratory facility, it not only conducts Type and Routine tests, it also exposes AES products to its own stringent testing norms. As a result of this prudent practice, several of AES' products even surpass the norms relevant national and international standards.

Some of the manual operations in the manufacturing processes due to which errors are likely to creep in are constantly identified by AES' Quality Assurance team. They are either replaced with automated processes or are upgraded by incorporating jigs and fixtures leaving virtually no room for errors due to manual processes to creep in.

Quality Assurance

All production functions of AES are fully backed by its well-equipped testing facilities whose metrological and electrical testing equipments are regularly calibrated to international standards.

The tests that are carried out in AES' testing facilities conform to requirements of NEMA, IEC and UL, etc. In fact, its excellent testing facilities are one of the strongest points of its operations.

Some of AES's main facilities are described below:

3-Axis coordinate measuring machine:

It is a highly sophisticated and software controlled measuring machine, suitable for tool and mould parts' checking. It is also meant for checking complicated moulded parts. It measures with the accuracy of within 1 micron. The machine can be programmed for checking several dimensions. Identical components can be inspected / checked by recalling and reloading the programme enabling faster and highly productive inspection. Critical profiles can be scanned and converted into engineering drawings with the help of AutoCAD software.

Mitutoya Profile Projector:

It is used for checking the dimension of components and tool part. For profiling, a component is clamped on a vise fitted on a movable bed whose profile is then projected on a screen normally 10 times the size of original object. By using suitable lenses, a profile of up to 50 times the size of a component can be projected. It can measure dimension within 1-micron i.e., 1/1000 of millimeter. Dimension between two points on the projected image is digitally displayed when the two points are passed through the reference axis. Angular dimension and radius can also be checked by this machine.

Q-FOG Programmable climatic test chamber:

For testing a product or component's ageing, test climatic conditions can be created in this device by determining parameters such as temperature and humidity. The device is programmable in various combinations of humidity and temperature ranging between 0% to 100% and -10º to 1000 º C, respectively.

Set-up for testing temperature rise, with graphic recorder:

It is used for checking overheating of a panel board or a switchboard at an applied current rating up to 3000A. It is also used to verify safety margin in a product's design. Additionally, its graphic recorder accurately records temperature rise readings during testing.
